Years of deep disdain
Caused such horrid pain
Where emptiness was set and lain
Took ahold of what was tender
And tossed it into a virtual blender
But here I am...,
Trying to be your true mender
To take away that hurting part
And forever begin to soften your heart
Display to you love felt from the start
Protect you under my arms
Sheltered from all waking harms
Caught beneath your loving charms
